H4H Supporter "Frankie Martin" passes away

Thursday 27 March 2014

Frankie Martin Help for Heroes supporterWe were saddened to hear about the sudden passing away this week of Ian Campbell, aka Frankie Martin, who was one of our amazing charity fundraisers.

Ian, from Kimberley in Nottinghamshire, gave up a year of his life in 2010 to fundraise for Help for Heroes. He lived in a transit van whilst he toured the UK and played 365 swing-style gigs at pubs and clubs over 365 consecutive days, raising an incredible £140,000 to support wounded Heroes. He received a Hero Award in 2011.

We will remember Frankie Martin as one of our inspirational fundraisers who truly "did his bit".
