Budding young chefs enjoyed a very messy and creative cooking session in our kitchens at Phoenix House this month!
Hosted by Blue Apple, our catering team, about 12 children spent the morning making delicious pizzas with their parents, all members of Band of Brothers (BoB) or Band of Sisters (BoS), as well as getting to know each other.
Lucy Wray, Regional BoB/BoS Coordinator, said the event was a huge success.
“It not only kept the children entertained over half term and taught them a few lesson in healthy eating but also allowed BoB and BoS members to get together and chat too.”
Jason Burns, whose children Georgia, 13, and Grace, five, made pizzas, said the cookery class was great fun.
“The main thing Grace enjoyed was the decorating of the pizza, as did all the children. When they came out of the oven, every child knew which their pizza was because they were all so different and Grace actually ate it all too.”
