Helping Our Wounded Heroes Through Golf
The National Golf Club Challenge will bring golf clubs throughout the UK together on the same weekend to hold hundreds of charity golf days. With endorsements from golfers, celebrities and many of the top golfing brands, the challenge follows on from the inaugural 2010 making it the largest AM charity golf event in the UK.
The challenge, to be held on 4th or 5th June 2011, will unite hundreds of golf clubs and thousands of golfers in demonstrating their support for our injured Armed Forces.
As well as raising a lot of money for Help for Heroes, each participating golf club will compete for the right to call itself The Help for Heroes National Golf Club Challenge Champions 2011.

The Final
The challenge is a national club competition, culminating in a two day grand final. Participating clubs will return their top ten stableford scores from their challenge day to count as their official aggregate score. The ten golfers from each of the six top scoring clubs will be invited to play in a spectacular two day final event.

“From what was a simple idea 18 months ago, the Challenge has grown into the biggest charity golf event the UK has ever seen and will continue to grow from strength to strength for years to come following on from the wonderful success of the inaugural 2010 event. It has been an adventure to get the challenge up and running and probably thousands of emails and phone calls later I'm proud to say we have a fantastic event to honour our wounded heroes through our nation's love of golf.”

Guess the Golf Balls Competition
The National Golf Club Challenge has teamed up with The Belfry and Sandals to offer one lucky winner a fantastic holiday to Emerald Bay, in the Bahamas. All you have to do is guess the number of golf balls in the lake at The Belfry.

The Brabazon Lake
Over 35,000 rounds per year are played on The Brabazon course at The Belfry. Although a number of golfers negotiate the hole without ‘getting wet’;there are many players that put 2 or 3 balls in the water trying to re-create some of the historic shots that have been played on the famous 18th hole over the years.
Legendary in the world of golf, The Brabazon's perilous bunkers and lakes have tested some of the greatest players including Seve Ballesteros, Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo.
The lake will be dredged by a dive team in spring 2011 and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
What You Can Win
This outstanding 7-night holiday prize is worth approximately £6,000 and includes luxurious butler serviced accommodation for two at Sandals Emerald Bay, Exumas, Bahamas, return flights from London, gourmet meals and 24-hour snacks, premium-brand drinks, all land and watersports, tips and airport transfers, in addition to all the added extras that come as a part of the Luxury Included® experience. NGCC Battle Back Clinic at The Belfry
On 1st April 2010, wounded Servicemen from Battle Back, a H4H-funded military initiative, headed to The Belfry to take part in a day of professional golfing organised by the NGCC. They were joined by stars from the golfing world, including former Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance, Match of the Day presenter Alan Hansen, golf commentator Tim Barter and European Tour players Richard Finch and Oliver Fisher. The wounded Servicemen were given a masterclass by Torrance himself, before playing a round with the stars and watching specialist David Edwards perform some trick shots around the course.

Battle Back uses Adaptive Adventure Training and Sports Rehabilitation to help seriously wounded Service personnel gain confidence and return to an active life. By encouraging those who have suffered serious injuries to play sports and try new activities in a sociable atmosphere, the Battle Back team work hard to prove that disability need not spell the end of participation in physical challenges.
