MALVERN CHALLENGE 2011

Malvern Hills between Bromesberrow and Great Malvern, Worcestershire
Saturday 3rd September 2011 from around 8am to 11pm

This is the third time we will have held this event. In 2009, we had 100 walkers and raised £7,000 for H4H. Last year it increased to 225 walkers and we raised an impressive £21,000! This year we would like to have more walkers and raise even more money for the charity.

Cheque Presentation 2010The event consists of an 11 mile walk along the length of the beautiful Malvern Hills starting at Bromesberrow Estate and walking via the Malvern Hills Hotel, the Wyche Inn and St Ann’s Well Café to Great Malvern. We also have a short walk of around four miles from the Malvern Hills Hotel. We will bus people for both of the walks from Great Malvern.

The walk is split into nine sections and most of the sections have a hard route over the higher ground and an easier, flatter route. When the walkers reach the finish area in Great Malvern, we will present them with a medal. We will also have a Help for Heroes Merchandise stall and ladies doing massage and other treatments.

We then have the Mount Pleasant Hotel booked for post walk refreshments, a barbecue and a raffle/auction raising more money for the charity. In the evening at the Hotel, we have live bands playing all evening for walkers, supporters and locals to attend.

The website www.events4h4h.org.uk will allow you to register for the event, order an event tee shirt and download a sponsor form. It also contains lots of other information about the event. When you have registered and paid, we will prepare a pack up of a tee shirt, race number, safety pins and a booklet with maps and a narrative of the route.

We would like people to register for the walk, assist with planning the event, come along on the day to support us or to work on the day. Please help us make this the biggest and best challenge so far and raise more money than last year.

Thank you!
