Help for Heroes London Marathon Team 2009!
| CONGRATULATIONS . . . YOU DID IT! |

On April 26th 2009 I had the privilege and great honour to start running with 317 incredible people who had chosen to use their valuable London Marathon place to raise money for some remarkable wounded young men and women. Included in that band of 317 were Ben McBean and Phil Packer, two current Servicemen, wounded but still running to raise money for their wounded colleagues.

Ben and I had an incredible run, he is a remarkable young man and an inspiration to us all. I said at the end, I have never run a marathon at that pace but it was simply the greatest marathon I have ever run.
I know everyone of you will have your own stories, you will have been through your own personal battles before the marathon and during the marathon but YOU DID IT, you are amazing and I hope you are feeling very PROUD!
Whilst we were running the wonderful H4H Team, lead by Katie and Clare, did a great job at our reception, I do hope many of you made it there! If you didn’t, we have you H4H commemorative T shirt, so contact Katie and we will send it to to, you deserve it!

As the days go by and some of the memories fade, try to remember the feeling when you crossed that finish line, remember why you ran it, remember who you ran it for.
Ben, Phil and the hundreds of other wounded heroes need us all to do our bit – YOU DID YOURS, THANK YOU.
Who’s up for 2010??? Come on, lets get a team of 500!!
Mark
*Help for Heroes would especially like to thank Sodexo who sponsored the reception.
