A very brave Nigel Johnson-Hill has raised over £10,000 for Help for Heroes with an Antartica swim...well almost, unfortunately there wasn't any water because everything had frozen! But he had a good roll around in the snow, much to the amusement of the local penguins. He hopes his substitute activites justify the generous contributions.

David Barrie held a 'Not a 50th Birthday party' and raised £490!
We held a celebration event called "NOT a 50th Birthday Party" and filled the house with family and friends. "There's no way I'm having a party, and I can't be 50 already, surely ?", cried the reluctant host. Instead of bringing presents or gifts people were asked to donate to HFH. Sixty five people squeezed in for an intimate evening and a great deal of fun was had by all to the early hours. The tidy sum of £490 was raised - thanks to everyone for their generosity.
All of us at Help for Heroes would like to say a really big thank you and a happy NOT 50th birthday to David! |
