Joe Calzaghe’s Gala Dinner
Joe Calzaghe, one of the world’s top boxers with an undefeated record, and his team have organised a unique gala tribute to the world’s greatest fighting heroes on Monday 22nd March 2010, to be held in the luxurious setting of the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London.
The evening will start with a champagne reception followed by a three course dinner, with complimentary drinks served at your table. Entertainment will include live perfomances from some of the UK’s leading musicians, including Stereophonics, Joss Stone and Rhydian from The X Factor, all paying tribute to our wounded heroes.
The night will also include the chance to bid in the auction which features some very rare and exceptional items, comprising some of Joe’s own personal memorabilia. A live interview with Joe will also take place, in which he will discuss his boxing career and reflect on his personal highlights.
Joe Calzaghe
Joe Calzaghe retired from boxing in February 2009, the longest reigning boxing world champion of the modern era. In 2003 he was awarded a MBE, BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2007 and then an CBE in 2008. He has recently tried his hand at ballroom dancing, taking part in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
