Our Boards of Trustees are responsible for the overall control and strategic direction of the Charities.
They meet regularly during the year to consider, determine and review our strategies and policies, and to receive reports from senior management. Our Trustees bring to the Charities a depth and breadth of expertise with extensive backgrounds in the military, in the legal, finance and medicine professions, communications and professional services.
Aroop Mozumder recently retired as a medical officer in the RAF, where he rose to become Director General of the RAF Medical Services in the rank of Air Vice-Marshal.
Previously he has significant deployed operational experience and was also the Inspector General for Defence Medicine. He has had a long interest in the health and welfare of Service personnel and veterans.
In the past he has worked in the NHS and for Save the Children in Africa. He is also the President of the Faculty of Conflict & Catastrophe Medicine at the Society of Apothecaries and continues to research and teach at post-graduate level in the area of healthcare and leadership in humanitarian emergencies.
He is also a Trustee/Director of a number of charities.
