Teddy ready

As you might know, I cut a pretty good dash on the polo field so I was delighted to be invited to join some other celebrities at the Help for Heroes Polo match at Cirencester. Lady Sara Apsley is a very good friend with very big hair who just loves bears. Sensible lady.

It was a lovely day, although I got a little hot when I had to pose with some girls with very long legs who were raising money. The things I have to do for charity... ho hum!
Famous faces and Hero the BearLife as a celebrity these days can be tough and I had to do my bit posing with people who just want to be seen with the coolest bear in town. All good fun but I am not sure about the suit and isn’t it about time you bought some Help for Heroes cufflinks Lawrence?
Hero does lunch
After a lovely lunch with only a whiff of some rather fine Pinot Grigio, I had to do a quick speech before the auction. We raised thousands of pounds for Help for Heroes, so thanks to all of you who bid.

Then it was down to the business of a couple of chukkas to show what I am made of. It was fast and furious and I proved that I could hack it with the best of them.

I was a little tired after the match so I had a quiet kip on a bench. It was made from oak and the nice people from the Woodland Trust are putting into a wood near Headley Court, so that the wounded can have some woodland chill time. It sounds like a great idea and a good excuse for a picnic. Watch this space for more hot news from your bear correspondent.

More posing with the men of the Honourable Artillery Company and The Gloustershire Yeomany before leaping into the Bearmobile and speeding off to the next mission... hussar!
