Hero at No.10
I am always ready to serve my country so when the call came from No 10 Downing Street, I was off like a shot. Always happy to help.

First off, it was to meet the players who were getting together for the Rugby Challenge Match at Twikkers. I walked into a room full of giants and would have felt quite scared if I had not had the confidence that a black belt in origami provides. The players may look mean but most of them are cuddly and once they had eaten lunch they were slightly less growly.

I gave them a motivational speech to fire them up for the game ahead; Shakespeare eat your heart out. Derek Derenalagi was there to help; he is amazing, he was a rugby player until his vehicle was blown up in Afghanistan and he lost both his legs. Now, a year later, he has ones like blades and he is learning to run and hopes one day to run for a gold medal.. I bet he will too!

I did my bit and signed a few autographs - so embarrassing - but you just can’t say no to people like Will Greenwood, Richard Hill and Jason Robinson and I need to keep them on side. Then we were off to No 10.
Hero and the policman and Emma

The policeman on the security post at the end of Downing Street made me go though the scanner just to check I was not concealing a rocket launcher. If I wasn’t such a laid back bear I might have taken offence but hey, he’s just doing his job. And he was wearing an H4H wristband, so he is ok in my book.

No 10 is huge inside, a bit like the Tardis but without Doctor Who. We stood around for a while drinking lemonade and eating fiddlies until we all had to pose with the great man himself - and Gordon Brown of course - who joined Lawrence, Jason and me for the team photo shoot.

The Prime Minister made a rather good speech about sport, the Armed Forces and courage and then referred to H4H as a National Institution - I can only assume he meant me - I am the real National Institution around here. What do the rest do anyway?

A few more posy pictures with the overawed players before time was time to cut and run. No time for this bear to hang around when there is the planet to save...

To infinity and Bearyond!
