Help for Heroes have been extremely fortunate to have the support of so many musicians who have helped to raise money for our wounded Servicemen and women. In 2008 Simon Cowell deployed the huge PR machine that is X Factor and the finalists released Hero, which was the fastest selling charity single in a decade and raised hundreds of thousands for H4H and, at our request, The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Since then we have been approached by many wonderful bands and singers all keen to do their bit and raise money and awareness. Here is just a sample of some of the fantastic fundraising songs that you can buy to support H4H...

Love Farewell   'Love Farewell'
‘Love Farewell’, together with the bonus track ‘Over the Hills and Far Away/Sharpe’s Theme’, has been especially recorded by internationally renowned folksinger John Tams and The Band and Bugles of The Rifles for Help for Heroes. All the money raised from the download and CD sales of this song will go towards supporting our wounded Servicemen and women.

We Will Remember them   Various Artists - 'We will Remember them'
Music stars have come together to record a song in aid of Help for Heroes. Bee Gee Robin Gibb, Michael Bolton, Paul Rodgers, West End star Lee Mead, and Mica Paris all met at the legendary Abbey Road Studios to perform.

The singers were joined by Army drummers and other musicians and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Proceeds from the single will be split between Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion.

Journey South   Journey South - 'What I love about home'
Journey South will re-release their single 'What I Love About Home' this Christmas, with all proceeds going to Help for Heroes.

"It's a song about when you are away from home, how much you miss it. For all the guys out in Afghanistan, missing their families, it must be a terrible time. To realise they are not coming home for Christmas, well we think the song is very apt for that." Journey South

Treorchy Male Choir   Treorchy Male Choir - 'Liberation Hymn'
Treorchy Male Choir has collaborated with Vernon Hopkins, the man who gave Tom Jones his big break in the early 1960s, to fly the flag for Wales in showing support for H4H. The choir has shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest entertainers including Dame Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Katherine Jenkins and Cliff Richard. The single features three tracks, all written and composed by Hopkins. The Liberation Hymn is the first track sung by the choir and the other two are performed by Hopkins himself.

The Soldiers   The Soldiers - 'Coming Home'
'The Soldiers' are Sergeant Major Gary Chilton, Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi, a group of 'real-life' soldiers who are storming the charts to raise money for their wounded colleagues. In October 2009 they released their debut album 'Coming Home'. Part of the album's proceeds go to Service charities, including H4H. All the songs on the album are related to Army life.

The Band Blake   The Band Blake – ‘Unsung Hero’
Bridging the gap between pop and opera The Band Blake had a number one album in the UK Classical charts with their debut album ‘Blake’ in November 2007. They have decided to show their support for H4H by donating all proceeds of their single ‘Unsung Hero’ to us.

Morpheus Rising  

Morpheus Rising - 'Fighting Man'
The rock band, ‘Morpheus Rising’, have released their new track ‘Fighting Man’. This is the second song the band, made up of Grae Tennick, Pete Harwood, Damien Sweeting, Andy Smith and Paul ‘Gibbo’ Gibbons, have released in aid of H4H, last year they released ‘Ordinary Man’.

Kidderminister Male Voice Choir   The Kidderminister Male Choir
The Kidderminster Male Choir announces the release of a CD called “Songs for Heroes” in support of the charity “Help for Heroes”. All profits from sales of the CD will go to the charity in support of our wounded servicemen and women being cared for at the Tri service Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court, Surrey.

Hero by the X-Factor   The X-Factor Finalists 2008 - 'Hero'
In 2008, X Factor contestants recorded a charity single and chose Help for Heroes to be the beneficiary. The track was a cover of Mariah Carey’s hit ‘Hero’ and became the fastest selling charity single of the last decade. It can still be bought via iTunes and in music stores.
