Debenhams stores nationwide
Debenhams support Help for Heroes with fundraising for the whole of March, with collection tins at their tills and staff fundraising. However, they are also offering a National Collection Weekend and we need your help!
We are looking for volunteers on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 March to bucket collect and sell a range of merchandise at Debenhams stores across England, Wales and Scotland.
Whether you can help for a couple of hours or the whole weekend, we would love to hear from you.
Volunteer Team Leader
This role includes liaising with the Debenhams store to discuss arrangements for the weekend. You'll be the main point of contact with any volunteers who have agreed to help over the weekend. You will receive Help for Heroes merchandise and promotional items and take them along to the collection.
As Volunteer Team Leader you will meet lots of new people, have a great time and make a massive difference to the lives of our Heroes. Afterwards, you will need to return unsold items to Help for Heroes.
This is a chance for you to volunteer some of your time to help at the collection - anything from a couple of hours to the whole weekend. You will meet lots of new people, have a great time and make a massive difference to the lives of our Heroes!
Do I need to register?
Yes please! Then we know which store you’d like to help out at, and in which role.
I registered last year; do I need to register again?
Yes. You won’t need to re-enter all your personal details, but you will need to choose a store, role and the date(s) you’d like to do.
What if I can’t remember my password from last year?
Please use the “Forgotten Password” prompt to reset your password.
Why do I need to set up a password?
As a Volunteer Team Leader (VTL) you need to be able to log on to the system to see details of your Collection Volunteers (CVs). As a CV, you can log on to the system and see if a VTL has been assigned to your store.
Why do I need referees for the VTL role?
As a new VTL you’ll be handling money and merchandise stock, therefore we require references.
Can I help if I’m under 18?
Yes, but you will need to be accompanied by an adult. If you’re under 18 you won’t be able to register on our system, so please ask the adult who is accompanying you to register instead.
Can my Scout/Guide/Cadet Group help?
Yes, that would be great! We’ll require an adult to register and to be with you and your group while you collect.
How does someone register if they don’t have a computer?
A friend or family member can register them instead, otherwise please call 01980 846459 and we’ll be happy to help.

Do I need to wear H4H branded clothing for the collection weekend?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! Wearing H4H branded clothing is not mandatory, although if you have something it’s nice to wear it as it helps raise the Charity’s profile.
