Duration: 1 week
12 – 16 December 2016 (applications will close on 11 Nov)
What is it?
We offer two types of Ski Week:
- A five day practical training course introducing you to Alpine skiing equipment and the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) central theme. This course will help you to progress from introductory activities up to parallel skiing. The course will be led by BASI qualified instructors who hold both level 1 and level 1 adaptive tickets.
- We also offer a one week skiing experience in France if you are a more experienced skier. There is supervision from qualified ski instructors to help you develop your skiing experience and ability.
Who is it for?
These courses are available to wounded, injured and sick veterans and service personnel.
Students on course number 2 in France will have access to adaptive equipment such as sit skis if required.
Why is it offered?
Both courses are designed to either teach or improve individual personal skiing skills up to and including parallel skiing level. They may help to inspire you towards a new passion, hobby or even a career within ski teaching. The courses provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills, socialise with people who have had similar experiences to you and to try something new.
