Qualification: City and Guilds Qualifications in Land Based Studies, Horticulture and Health and Safety (including green CSCS Card)


    What is it?

    A work placement opportunity working on the restoration of the country’s canals.  The work may include lock restoration, building landing stages, restoring towpaths, landscaping, clearing hedgerows, conservation and horticulture

    Who is it for?

    Anyone interested in gaining experience and developing skills in the land based or construction sector.

    Why is it offered?

    An opportunity to explore an interest in the land based sector, gaining real practical experience and qualifications.  The project is offered as a partnership between the Canal and River Trust and Help for Heroes to restore our historic waterways and provide exciting opportunities to explore volunteering or career options.

    Pocklington Canal (Yorkshire): September – October 2016
