At the beginning of the month 11 Band of Brothers went to Brands Hatch for a day of racing fun, organised by The Not Forgotten Association! Terry Gatt was one of the BoBs who attended the event and he said “I had a fantastic day and thank you! It was good to get out and socialise and do a bit of networking too. The cars and drivers were nothing but amazing and it was a great few days. The Not Forgotten Association were great hosts and Adrianna was very helpful and pleasant to talk with.”
Following on from this, families were able to enjoy a day at Blenheim Palace in Essex, to watch the BBC Countryfile Live Show. We received some amazing feedback for the day and thankfully the weather also held out for everyone. Lee Carter-Dyett enjoyed the show “It was a lovely day thank you! We spent a whole day just meandering around all the exhibits, stalls and watching various shows. We had a lovely picnic lunch sat by the river in the sunshine and bought a flute, a ring, a linen top and some angora socks! How about that for a mixed bag!” Please see below for some lovely photos that were taken during the weekend.
During the same weekend, Michelle and Steve Goodwin stayed at Bradenham Manor to enjoy a weekend packed full of fun activities. The weekend was organised by The Not Forgotten Association for veteran couples. Michelle and Steve had a lovely time; “We have never done anything like that before and it was the first time in four years we have been anywhere without the children. The whole weekend couldn't have been better and everyone made us feel so welcome and included in all the games and activities.”
