Well autumn is with us and our first Black Tie ball is already history! A huge thank you to all those who attended and I hope you all had a great night, and another thank you for the kind messages saying you did. Once I have taken breath and begin to put the feelers out about getting supporting funding I will maybe (!) look at another for next year - if you didn’t make it this time around I can only recommend a great night in the company of your fellow BoB & BoS - man you lot can dance! Band of Brother Kev summed up the ball “Hilary and I want to say a massive thank you to you for Saturday. We had a fantastic time and look forward to the next one. If you could pass on our thanks to everybody involved we would be most grateful.”
Along with the ball we have held two bowling nights in Hereford and Telford, a cricket taster day in Trent Bridge Nottingham along with some free tickets to see “The Importance of Being Earnest” which seems to have gone down well - you culture vultures….
We will also have had a group of Argos store managers carry out a Garden Force make over - having also identified 3 other BoB/BoS requiring similar assistance I will be sending out an appeal for volunteers to join me and somebody with some skill to help out, come along and get involved in supporting your cohort. Think DIY SOS but without Nick Knowles or Billy the Sparky…
Looking forward to October and a small group of us are running the Birmingham Half marathon in support of Fisher House if you fancy coming along to laugh/cheer on Sunday 16th, we have some amazing football dinner tickets to offer out, hopefully a chance to work on and learn about Weoley Castle (TBC) and hopefully some Spa Days for you amazing BoS so please keep an eye on your inbox! I am also taking some leave so you get some peace to….!
See you soon!
