Family Respite at Tedworth House

Family Respite at Tedworth House

At the end of April, 11 lovely BoS came to Tedworth for a fabulous respite weekend. On Friday we all got together and made amazing Touchwood charms. These little wooden charms were originally made by girls to give their sweethearts when they went into battle during the First World War as a good luck charm.

On Saturday, the morning was full of laughter and stories as the ladies had various complimentary treatments and make up lessons from a London based make up company.  They also made some wonderful greetings cards.  After a delicious lunch we all went to a chocolate making workshop and discovered we had some very artistic BoS with a very steady hand.

Respite Weekend Pips

After an afternoon of working their magic the ladies all took home a box of delicious handmade chocolates and a hand decorated chocolate lollipop.  In the evening a pub quiz proved very popular.  It was fabulous to meet lots of new BoS and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.  Huge thanks to everyone that helped to make this weekend such a success.

Cate Johanson from Hampshire said: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all who organised the weekend. I had a brilliant time and it was great to be in the company of such lovely ladies.”

This was a brilliant weekend and we are looking forward to our next weekend in October.

Other events in April included a Shooting for Heroes weekend for BoB’s on this year’s course and a fun craft morning at Tedworth House for BoS.
