On Wednesday 17 February 35 lucky Band of Brothers & Band of Sisters were treated to an afternoon fun at Roller World in Colchester. Half-term can be an exhausting and expensive time for the parents so an afternoon out with other BoB and BoS was a welcome treat for all ages.
This was a great opportunity for the children to meet up and let off some steam. It was also an excellent opportunity for the adults to catch up and meet some new Band of Brothers and Sisters too.
As with all things involving wheels, high speed and children, there is a certain level of risk and the anticipation was palpable. All escaped without any broken bones, just a few bruised bottoms!
One of the BoBs who attended said: “I want to express my sincere appreciation for the day at roller world. The kids enjoyed every bit of it, a big thank you to you and the entire team for such a treat.”
Abbie Griggs, Regional BoB/BoS coordinator for the East said: “we have been very lucky to have been donated some funds especially for family use and it is great to see the families enjoying themselves and benefitting from the money.”
