This month H4H Celebrity Ambassador Antony Cotton visited Tedworth House. He spent the day with the Band of Sisters and heard about their experiences and recovery stories supporting their loved ones.
Antony was taken on a tour of the facilities in the house. He has visited Phoenix House a number of times in Catterick but this was his first time in Wiltshire.
Antony said: “This is kind of incredible that it’s come so far in such a short space of time and it goes to show in Britain that we’ve got some amazing people willing to do some amazing things and there are buildings that can house it because up until ten years ago this was derelict and look what it is now.”
A group of the Band of Sisters had lunch with Antony after his tour and meeting some of the psychological wellbeing team. BoS Eileen Stockley said: “Antony could not have been more supportive and understanding.”
Later in the month we had a day of family fun with Wiltshire Wildlife at Blakehill Farm nature reserve near Cricklade. As well as a trip to see the Starling Murmurations (one of nature’s natural wonders) on the Somerset Levels.
