We are absolutely delighted to have appointed a new regional BoB/ BoS coordinator to Northern Ireland bring our regional footprint now to nine individual regions.
Alexandra (Alex)Baillie is now up and running as the new coordinator for the region. She is based in central Belfast in the same office as a number of our partner charities; this has been done purposely to create the environment of a Support Hub without having to travel to Catterick.
Catterick will remain the main affiliated recovery centre for Northern Ireland and the team there, especially Lucy Wray, will be supporting Alex as she settles in to her new role.
Alex said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the new BoB/BoS Co-ordinator for Northern Ireland. I have lived in England and Wales as a youngster, but I was born and raised in Belfast.”
Alex has previous experience working for charities but is really looking forward to more direct interaction with beneficiaries and getting out and about around the country. She went on to say: “I previously worked for a mental wellbeing charity and was largely based in the office and so I am therefore really looking forward to getting out and about and meeting Northern Irish BoB/BoS and listening to what these members would like to do. The office is based in Belfast and I look forward to working there and throughout the Province whilst regularly linking in with Phoenix House Recovery Centre in Catterick.”
Alex is already up and running on email – for all you BoB and BoS in Northern Ireland, she can be contacted at Alexandra.firstname.lastname@example.org.
