Over £3k was raised for Help for Heroes and another £1,500 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital at the stand-up comedy night arranged for Sunday 1 May. Over 300 paying customers and 24 Brothers and Sisters attended.

This was the fifth year this event has been run and the second after moving the venue from London to Glee Comedy Club in Birmingham. Band of Sisters’ Rachel Andrews volunteered to carry out the bucket collection inside the club.

Bethany Black one of the night’s comedians, said: “It was a pleasure to support such a brilliant cause and better still, that your guys and their families are here to enjoy a much needed laugh...”

Alan McClelland, BoB/BoS coordinator, said: “It was a brilliant night with a superb line-up of exceptionally rude comedy! Having our brilliant Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters attending also gives the comedians and the public the chance to meet the guys they turn out to support. The money raised is always a bonus!”

The organiser was Ex-Grenadier Guardsman Sebastian Miles, who has settled into a banking career in Birmingham after leaving service. He has been wonderfully supported by The Glee Club and some brilliant comedians from the national circuit to put on this event.
