Happy summer everyone. I hope you are having a fabulous one and your wardrobes aren’t too confused with this slightly sporadic weather. One day it’s a stunning hot day and then on the next we are getting our wellies out again!
June has been such an exciting month for London & South East for teams BoB and BoS. I am over the moon to announce that we have recruited a new member to our team to look after London & South East. Adrianna Bennett-Yard will be starting in mid-July and is chomping at the bit to get stuck in with organising events and get-togethers across the region. We will be sending out an email with her details and asking you to get in touch with your ideas and wants for London & South East – please do let us know what you would like to see.
It’s been a really busy month of Veteran drop-in clinics as I now attend four across the South East each month including in Oxford, Surrey, London and Buckingham, all run by various charities and two clinics a month at Headley Court. Oxford’s was the last one I attended with a really great turn out of Veterans, families and representatives from charities and agencies. It also gave me a great opportunity to meet up with my contact at Bravo 22 Company to catch up on all their news about the latest project in Brighton – the Recovery and Wellbeing Through Art Project – please do get in touch if you would like to know more.
We took nine BoB and BoS members to Airkix in Milton Keynes on Friday 3 June and had a great afternoon of sky diving (in a simulator) and then a wonderful get-together after in the local Holiday Inn. Everyone had a go at the skydiving and the beaming smiles at the end of the session made my year!
