On Tuesday 1st December local families descended on Colchester Recovery Centre for the annual Families Christmas Party.
This year we were lucky enough to have been donated ice skating tickets to the local Winter Wonderland in Castle Park. Families arrived at the Centre for a quick get-together and buffet before heading off to the Park for ice skating, fairground ride, a visit from Father Christmas and much much more!
Amid the bruises and wet clothing, smiles, laughter and lots of fun was had by all!
“Thanks to you all for organising, great to see everyone and the kiddies loved it.”
“We had a great evening tonight, thank you all so much for organising it for us.”
The annual ‘Blokes’ Christmas Party was in full swing at Chavasse VC House on Thursday 10th December. 40 Band of Brothers enjoyed an evening of comedy, music, Christmas presents and a full roast dinner.
We had the wonderful John Ryan to entertain us after dinner follow by Caddy Cooper from CSE to get us in the mood with some Christmas hits! We even had our very own band created by some merry Band of Brothers. John Ruddy, Norwich Goalkeeper, also dropped in to spread some Christmas cheer with the guys, having lots of selfies and even signing wheelchairs!
The Christmas stockings went down a treat with many Band of Brothers overwhelmed by the generosity of the wonderful public.
A few of the Band of Brothers who attended said: ‘A warm and heart full thank you to all the ladies and gentlemen at Chavasse VC house for tonight’s Christmas Party and wow what wonderful presents!’
‘Thank you to everybody who made tonight so special and thank you for my present, I was overwhelmed and humbled.’
