The Winter Wonderland arrived in Cardiff for a two-month period of Christmas and New Year.
A group of 40 BoB and BoS descended on the ice rink in Cardiff. The kids grabbed the penguins to keep their balance while Lee Mathews braved the slipperiness in his wheel chair!
Lee said: “This is the first time I have smiled and actually laughed out loud in quite a while! Being able to participate and actually being on the ice in my chair was fantastic. The Help for Heroes staff really hit the ball out of the park with this one. Thank you so much.”
The Christmas party had 76 attend which was as incredible turn out. The day was flled with Christmas stocking, kid’s games, balloon animal and Christmas jumpers (some good, some bad)!
Member of the Band of Sisters, Sian Sheldon said: “We have felt really included and part of something since joining BoB/BoS: part of a community again. The events that we have attended held in Wales have all been amazing. It has cheered us up no end”.
