In the Midlands this month, the BoBs were able to take up an incredible offer to play football with Stoke City FC Disability. Never without their biggest fans, the 15 BoBs were accompanied by 15 BoS to cheer them on to victory.
It was a really full day for all. The lucky 30 were treated to a tour of the stadium where they saw the ins and outs of the place from the changing rooms to the tunnels to the pitch.
All this walking around worked up an appetite so, before nerves of the big game took over, everyone was treated to lunch.
The match was finally on, everyone moved to the 3G pitch to take their positons – H4H Band of Brother vs Stoke City FC Disability – game on!
When the dust settled, the sun was down and the post-match drinks were poured, team H4H achieved a very respectable six-all draw. The game was played in a great spirit, and all the guys are very keen to get more games going across the region. Watch this space (and yes, that is Alan McClelland in a football strip!).
