Fishing rods over shoulders and buckets of bait at the ready, five families attended a fishing day at Langstone lakes.
Like an episode of River Monsters, the water looked calm enough, but nothing could be seen through the murk of a stereotypical British lake in the leafy countryside.
There were a few bites on the hooks but unfortunately nothing was caught. Despite this they tried fresh cooked trout at lunch time (and even the kids enjoyed it!)
The families also did Pond Dipping and made crafts like Chinese Coi Carp wind socks and papier mache fish.
Fishy fun had by all and the kids had plenty of sticky take homes to enjoy!
