Thirty seven members of the Midlands BoB and BoS community, along with residents from Fisher House, the Selly Oak based home away from home for wounded, injured and sick and their loved ones, attended the Stand Up for Heroes Comedy night at the Glee Club in Birmingham in March.
Eight comedians including Pat Monahan, Andy Askins, Geoff Norcott, Sam Harland and headlined by Hal Cruttenden gave up their funnies for free to our guys and gals, while any ticket money from the general public was donated to Help for Heroes and the Grenadier Guards Colonels Fund.
The Glee Club have donated tickets to BoB/BoS before and are keen to continue supporting events in the future. A superb night of belly laughs and sometimes inappropriate chortles was had by all, and planning has already begun for next year!
