We have had a very busy month with lots of amazing events taking place across the country. On Wednesday 5th October 38 Band of Brothers went to Heathrow Airport for an exciting day with some of the Training Captains from British Airways. From learning to fly in a flight training simulator, to meeting with the fire crew, followed by a delicious curry night, everyone had a fantastic day.
John Voss attended the day and said “I seriously cannot thank everyone at BA who made the day worthwhile, including White Watch and the whole of the H4H/BoB team. I met Bruce Dickenson who might I add has been my hero since I was 8 (41 years). I can say this is definitely in the top 10 experiences of my life! Everyone on the day was extremely positive, from the ground crews who enjoyed the contact with the pilots, to the Captains themselves; an outstanding team.”
Following on from this we were also very kindly donated 100 tickets for BoB/BoS to attend the Bear Grylls tour at Wembley SSE Arena on Saturday 8th October. Steve Morris and his son attended the show and they had a lovely time! “Me and my son, Harrison, had the most amazing time. The tickets were ready to pick up at the box office as soon as we got there and the show was outstanding. A big thank you from me and Harrison for an unforgettable experience.”
Justin Rookes also attended with his family; “we had a great evening at the Bear Grylls Adventure on Saturday. We made a day of it to tell the truth and headed into London at lunch time for a bit of shopping on Oxford Street, grabbed a bite to eat and then off on to the SSE Arena at Wembley. The show was different to what we imagined but it was a great evening out together as a family which we are extremely grateful to you all for.”
