15 years old Daniel Adams is extremely keen on the armed forces and has been incredibly pro-active with his support. He is a cadet and was recently extremely proud to carry the British Legion flag on the Remembrance Day parade in his village. He also donated a flowering Cherry Tree to his school to plant in memory of the fallen. The school were very supportive and even put on a little ceremony.
Daniel then decided that as he had done something for the fallen, that he would like to do something for those members of the armed forces who had returned with both physical and mental scars. Daniel came up with the great idea of 24 hour tag rugby. The school, Uffculme Academy were very supportive and allowed him to use the school facilities free of charge and helped with advertising. Daniel was lucky enough to get sponsorship from local companies including Speedy Hire who supplied the lighting for the overnight section of the challenge, and Crealy Adventure Park in Exeter who provided insurance and free tickets.
Daniel is doing work experience at the Royal Marines at Lympstone in July and we hope he has a great time. Help for Heroes would like to say a huge thank you to Daniel for raising an amazing £1,006.00 for our heroes!
