The minute 11 year old William Finch spoke to a local volunteer from Help for Heroes (H4H) one Saturday in February, he was determined to help! He wasted no time and early the following week called the charity and registered his fundraising plans.
Just a few weeks later everything was organised and William and his family stood outside their local Marks and Spencer selling cupcakes as part of the Bake for Heroes campaign!
William’s family helped him on the day of his bake sale, but he did everything else himself! From ringing H4H to organise his event, to speaking to the Manager of Marks & Spencer, asking permission to use the space in front of their shop and baking & decorating 105 cupcakes! This also included clearing and washing up after himself!
It’s an incredible undertaking for an 11 year old (now 12) to organise everything on his own and William’s parents are both incredibly proud of him.
H4H would like to say a huge thank you to William for his support and for raising a fantastic £174.00 for our heroes!
