There are lots of things you can do
When it comes to organising your event, we want you to do so as safely and sensibly as possible. Please ask a parent, guardian, teacher or youth leader for permission and any help you need. If you're under 18 years old, we'll also need your grown-up helper to register the event for you.
We love to hear about your fundraising so please do send us a photo and tell us all about it. We will choose some of your stories to go on the Hero Kids News page.
National Heroes Day
Friday 23 October 2015
Who is your hero?
National Heroes Day is based on the idea of schools encouraging their pupils to honour their heroes by coming to school dressed as their hero for one day in lieu of school uniform. Of course this isn’t restricted to schools and could also be done with other youth groups or even in the workplace.
National Heroes Day is coordinated by Robin Hollington who wanted to raise money for Help for Heroes in memory of his son, Marine Richard Hollington, who was the 300th UK casualty in Afghanistan in June 2010.
