Damion Williams

The People’s Hero For Outstanding Fundraising and Dedication to help for Heroes

Over the last 8 years Damion Williams, a serving Intelligence Corps Warrant Officer, has raised in excess of £55,000 for Help for Heroes and Rugby for Heroes through his annual Rugby Club Dinner and Auction Ball at Gloucester Rugby Football Club.

On top of his demanding military work, family life and coaching his local rugby squad Damion organises a special Black tie dinner for 200 people every year, alternating between Help for Heroes and Rugby for Heroes as beneficiary charity.

After seeing some close colleagues manage their injuries and make a new life for themselves post operational tours Damion became keen to support the charity, he wants to make a difference and to raise awareness of life beyond injury.

His job entails a regular deployment and arranging a big Dinner is enormously time consuming but each year he commits again and produces a high quality and successful event.
