Help for Heroes Events
If the thought of getting into Lycra or donning trainers isn’t quite your idea of a good fundraiser, we have just the thing for you!
Join us and take part in the annual Help for Heroes' Colossal Cake Sale from the 26th March – 7th April 2012.
This is a great way to ‘do your bit’ to help our wounded heroes by holding a cake sale any time between the 26th March and 7th April, in your local town, city, club or workplace. And help us to make this year’s event the most colossal yet!

How do I join in?
Last year an amazing 184 communities nationwide registered to don their aprons, grab their wooden spoons and get baking to support our wounded heroes.It is a great way for supporters with a sweet tooth to get involvedwhether you bake or buy!
We would be delighted if you would like to organise your very own Colossal Cake Sale this year to raise money for our wounded heroes. It really couldn't be simpler:
- Check out the Help for Heroes Guide to a Colossal Cake Sale for more information and some fantastic recipe ideas.
- Register your event at our registration page.
- Start organising and gathering your team!
- Put together a small team of organisers.
- Arrange your date and location.
- Decide on your target number of cakes.
- Ask 10 friends to ask 10 friends to make a cake.
- Ask local bakeries and shops to donate cakes.
- Marmalade, jams and chutneys are popular too!
- Have a raffle of larger decorated home-made cakes.
- Ask one person in each area to collect cakes.
- Put your flyers everywhere!
- Put H4H Cake Sale posters where ever you can!
- Use social networking to publicise your sale.
- Ask your friends to give your flyers out.
- Ask the local press to publicise the event.
- Invite the Mayor or local celebrity (the press will follow).
- Ask the local press to publicise the event
- Don't forget to have a merchandise stand!
Register your cake sale in order to get your free fundraising pack which includes labels, 12 balloons and a line of bunting, 1 apron, cookie cutter and 2 cake picks.
