Help for Heroes Events
| EXERCISE VELOCIPEDE TIGER - 14th-16th September 2010 |
"We all know only too well that for every soldier killed in these conflicts, countless more will be injured and this is why we have decided to do this challenge and raise money for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes provides practical, direct support to wounded Servicemen and women who have been injured in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11. We are proud to help provide wounded Service personnel with courses and opportunities that will help prepare them for civilian life and a rewarding career after they have left the military.
"We really need your support with this challenge; please give as much as you can through our fundraising page here. The main event will take place 14th-16th September 2010 at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop. Even a small donation can make a huge difference and will help us raise an extraordinary amount for our colleagues." |

Exercise Velocipede Tiger is a 1,000 mile charity bike ride around Middle Wallop, Wiltshire, to raise money for Help for Heroes. The team consists of WO1 Steve Hulbert, Capt Cameron ‘Cammy’ Hastie, Capt Stu Hughes, WO1 Nick Bolton, WO1 Gordon McBain, WO1 Phil Renshaw, WO2 Daz Rollo and Sgt Joe ‘Billy’ Billington. Here, the guys tell us about why they chose to raise money for Help for Heroes and what the charity means to them:
"We have already competed in a static bike event on the 10th September and raised about £1,000, so we are hoping the main event will be even bigger!"
