Thank you for requesting collection envelopes to support Help for Heroes at this sad time. We really appreciate you thinking of us.
The collection envelopes are designed to allow individuals to Gift Aid their donation if they are eligible to do so, which allows Help for Heroes to claim 25p from HM Revenue & Customs for every £1 donated at no extra cost to the donor. If you wish to stand the envelopes up, simply fold the pre-glued flap over to enable the envelope to stand like a pyramid.
If you wish to use the envelopes at the funeral or memorial service of your loved one, please give this form to the Funeral Directors or the Church where the service is taking place. The information below informs them of how to pass donations to us and how Gift Aid can be claimed.
Funeral Directors: Please forward the collection envelopes and any individual cheques direct to Help for Heroes at the address below. Any cash can either be paid directly into our bank account, or a cheque made payable to ‘Help for Heroes’ can be written to cover the full amount donated in cash.
Churches: Please follow the same procedure as Funeral Directors. We prefer donations to Help for Heroes to be paid directly to us, however we are aware that some churches have a process where the cash needs to be passed through their accounts before being paid to the charity. If this is the case, and collection envelopes are used, please can we ask you to check the amount you take out of each envelope with the amount written on the envelope before sending the envelopes to us at the address below. The information on the envelopes is needed to allow us to claim Gift Aid from HMRC on behalf of the donors.
