Brendon McCullum is one of the most popular cricketers in the world after thrilling fans all year in the World Cup, the recent series between England and New Zealand and then for the Birmingham Bears in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Another new player confirmed for the game this week is McCullum’s countryman, the left arm spin wizard Daniel Vettori.
The pair join a side containing legends of the game such as Brian Lara, Matthew Hayden and Graeme Smith as well as countrymen Scott Styris and Ross Taylor. The team will be coached by Gary Kirsten and managed by the great Indian Sunil Gavaskar.
They will take on a Help for Heroes XI led by England Director of Cricket Andrew Strauss and coached by the legendary Sir Ian Botham and featuring players including Graeme Swann, Simon Jones and Darren Gough.
