Sehwag is one of the most popular and charismatic cricketers of the modern age, opening the innings for India for many years and becoming one of the biggest stars in the history of the IPL.
His brutal ability to score runs in all areas of the ground has endeared him to fans in his native country and around the world, where he played a key part in the great era of Indian sides that also featured Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly.
The Indian will play on a night containing legends of the game such as Brendon McCullum, Matthew Hayden and Graeme Smith as well as players such Kiwi trio Scott Styris, Daniel Vettori and Ross Taylor. The team will be coached by Gary Kirsten and managed by the great Indian Sunil Gavaskar.
They will take on a Help for Heroes XI led by England Director of Cricket Andrew Strauss, managed by the legendary Sir Ian Botham and coached by Pakistani all-rounder Wasim Akram. It will feature players including Graeme Swann, Matthew Hoggard, Simon Jones and Darren Gough.
