Katie Wilson, Eastern Regional
Co-ordinator
"I'd followed the progress of H4H almost from the beginning and had fund raised through a series of concerts. I then participated in the Big Battlefield Bike Rides back in 2009 and 2010 and saw first-hand the difference the charity was making to the lives of our heroes, guys who considered themselves anything but heroes, but who whizzed past me missing limbs or eyesight or with no sense of balance and unable to stand properly.
"The ride left me feeling so humble and inspired by what they were achieving, I knew that I needed to be more involved. My son went to Sandhurst last year, and it was the impetus I needed to make the call. The role as a Co-ordinator has been at times emotional, occasionally nerve-wracking, totally fulfilling and it's given me the opportunity to meet some truly awe-inspiring and inspirational people."
