James Burns, South-East Regional Co-ordinator

“I first got involved with H4H in early 2009 as the charity’s aims and objectives struck a very strong chord with me as my father had been seriously wounded in WW2. I very soon became the Volunteer County Coordinator for Surrey. After 18 months I was very pleased to be asked to join the charity fulltime as the first Regional Coordinator covering the South East. My time with H4H has been the most amazing ride with every day being different – Team H4H is full of incredibly enthusiastic and passionate people. I have met a number of the “blokes” over the last couple of years, an experience that has been both humbling and hugely inspiring. Being involved with the British public has been a great experience and their continued generosity is a constant reminder of their support for the "blokes"."
