HEROES GET THE THUMBS UP FROM TOPPS
After a successful corporate partnership with Asthma UK which raised over £600,000 for the charity, Topps Tiles recently launched its biggest ever fundraising drive to support the work of Help for Heroes. The firm set up an electronic ballot which meant all staff could vote for the charity they wanted to support and H4H won overwhelmingly.
Topps’ Chief Executive Matthew Williams confirmed:“Help for Heroes’ mission is undeniably serious, but we’re having a whale of a time doing our bit through sponsored exploits like climbing mountains, pulling trucks, skydiving, waxing legs, shaving heads, organizing sports and fun days, and all manner of whacky events."
So far Topps Tiles staff have raised a remarkable £40,000 in just a few months.
Topps Tiles Hereford organized a ‘Battle of the Tiles’ football match between local tiling contractors and Topps staff. The event raised £1,071. The Topps’ team were thinking of doing a battle of the injured after the match but “didn’t have the energy”. Topps Tiles Swindon is joining a group of 15 novice hikers from Wiltshire who are tackling the heights of Mount Snowdon on 18 April. Their aim is to raise least £100 each for H4H.
