The two astonishing persons are Toni Ryder and Leanne Caryl our Business Development Manager and Accounts Manager.

The stories were fairly humorous when the girl's returned to the MLA workplace on the Monday after, and the day sounded somewhat exciting and funny, from someone trying to buy Toni's Chihuahua for 50p to witnessing a dog brawl EEEK!

Toni Ryder shares a comment "I just have to think of the cause the monies goes to and it is certainly put into perspective! All good fun and definitely will be doing more. We just need to find some more junk to sell!"

Leanne confirmed "Once we were there, I got myself stuck in, and even donned a dusty pre-deployment army jacket and hat, which was donated to us on the day, by a father of a young man who was shot whilst in the forces, and has recently been recuperating at Headley Court himself."

The big challenge

Medical Legal Appointments In August 2012, employees from Medical Legal Appointments will march the Hadrian's Wall, which expands to a 26 mile hike. Hadrian's Wall is one of UK's most superb landmarks, full of immense history and even had a part in Robin Hood. MLA is aiming to raise £2,500 from the challenge which will go to Help for Heroes.

Several employees at MLA recently visited the personal recovery assessment centre in Catterick to see how the money raised can help and also to motivate us for the big challenge. Each applicant on the challenge has their own sole and inspirational cause for completing the challenge. Michelle Murphy, Sales Administrator, shares her tale underneath:

"This challenge is different to everything I have ever completed before. I left school and went straight to the Royal Ballet School in London but had to retire early due to injury. I then travelled to various countries and was unluckily involved in a house fire whilst living in Egypt and managed to come out of it unharmed. This all resulted in me eventually coming to MLA and I have worked in the firm for the last 14 months. I have faced and conquered numerous challenges throughout this time, all of which helped form me into the individual I am now. I am determined to do the Hardrians Wall Trek to ultimately provide me with the time and opening to do something dissimilar and particular - and assist raise a lot of funds for Help for Heroes!"
