Dollar Financial LogoStaff at Dollar Financial UK subsidiary The Money Shop have launched their £250,000 Help for Heroes appeal.

District managers for the company's chain of 400-plus stores pledged to reach the total before the end of 2012 - and kick-started the campaign by raising £3,866 during a charity horse racing night.

Race Night photo oneSpeaking at a national district managers' conference Dollar Financial UK corporate affairs director Caroline Walton said: "We are a dynamic and growing business and we recognise we have a responsibility to put something back into the communities we serve.

"It was our staff who chose Help for Heroes and we will do all we can to make sure we reach the target."
Activities under consideration include a sponsored parachute jump; a north to south relay walk, visiting as many of the payday loan provider's stores as possible; and selling Help for Heroes merchandise.

Christmas boxesIt will also feature a directors' challenge - with senior staff promising to accept any challenge set by the rest of the workforce, as long as the price is right!
