Cobham Technical Services Fundraising Evening

On Saturday, 12th March 2011, Cobham Technical Services held an evening function to raise money for Help for Heroes. The event was a staff dinner and dance, held at Mercedes Benz’s MB World in Weybridge, Surrey. The evening was a great success, raising £10,000 for the charity, and included a special message of support from His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, which was read out to all guests. Over 180 people attended the black tie event, enjoying a meal, live-band, fun casino and prize raffle. Hero the Bear also attended, to the delight of all guests, and greeted everyone at the event reception.

Cobham Technical Services’ General Manager, Dr Robert Pearson, explained: "It was a fun evening and we are delighted with the money raised for Help for Heroes, our 2011 charity. It’s a great charity and we know that every penny will be put to immediate and good use in supporting our servicemen and women."
