Help For Heroes is going to the Chelsea Flower show 2009!
All Seasons Design and Landscaping are proud to announce that their Help for Heroes Sanctuary Garden, designed for UK charity Help for Heroes and generously funded by B&Q, will be exhibiting at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2009.
Drusilla Stewart & William Beresford, All Seasons’ top designers, have created the successful entry. The
garden is designed to be easily accessed by those with mobility issues and to appeal to all the senses.
The Help for Heroes Sanctuary Garden will be auctioned off at the end of the Chelsea Flower Show. All the plants will be available for the public to buy, but Drusilla Stewart of All Seasons Design and Landscaping also hopes that a green-fingered philanthropist will come along and donate a big chunk of money to have the garden recreated at their home. So support our lads and lasses and get yourself a luxurious new garden; all proceeds will go to Help for Heroes.
This is a unique offer to get a beautifully designed garden exclusively from the Chelsea Flower Show. To place a bid, please send your offer to Drusilla Stewart at info@allseasonslandscaping.co.uk before the 23rd May 2009.
The Creators
All Seasons Design and Landscaping, based in London and Wiltshire, have 14 years experience designing and building gardens to the highest standards. Drusilla Stewart, an army wife whose husband will unfortunately not see the completed garden as he will be deploying to Afghanistan just before the show opens, is utterly delighted that her design has been accepted by the Royal Horticultural Society.
“I am very excited to be representing Help For Heroes in their very first appearance at Chelsea. The design itself was inspired by conversations with the wives of Servicemen whose husbands are about to deploy to Afghanistan this year. The garden is designed as a symbolic sanctuary where those who do not return safely can find focus and the peace with which to deal with either physical or mental trauma after the ordeal of operations."
Design Ethos
The ethos behind this garden has been to focus 100% on its end goal – to provide a peaceful space for the recuperating Servicemen and women. To that end, while we have looked to design the garden using the elements of clean lines, geometry and contemporary styling, we have endeavoured to soften these using materials that will resonate with the soldiers and retain a sense of warmth and comforting personal space.
We have promised Help for Heroes that, with our garden at Chelsea Flower Show as the focus, we will raise a total of £30,000 for their charity.

The Chelsea Flower Show runs from Tuesday 19th to Saturday 23rd May at the Royal Hospital
Gardens, Chelsea. Visit the RHS website at www.rhs.org.uk for more information on
the show.
Flower Power for our Heroes from the 18th May!
This year B&Q is digging deep to show its support for wounded Servicemen and women by joining forces with Help for Heroes. Shoppers can show their support for the charity even if they can’t make it to Chelsea by digging deep and picking up an exclusive Petunia plant mix from B&Q stores. Available throughout May while stocks last, the packs of 15 plants have been specially selected for their unique colour mix and £2.35 from every £5 pack sold will be donated to the charity.
Steve Guy, B&Q Seasonal Category Manager, said: “We’re calling on B&Q customers to get behind our nation’s heroes by visiting the B&Q garden at Chelsea and adding some colour to their own gardens with our fantastic Petunias. The work of Help for Heroes is a vital support line to our service personnel and we’re very proud to be involved and will do everything we can to smash our fundraising targets.”
Help for Heroes and B&Q would like to thank the following companies for their generosity in making the charity Petunia happen: Porters Horticultural Limited, Ball Colegrave, Bulrush Horticulture Limited, Fagan and Whalley, Fargro, Hortipak, Styropack UK Limited, The West Island Group, Tref Jiffy.
