Malcolm Cray is currently walking from John O'Groats to Lands End wearing 17th century pikeman attire, for the benefit of 'Help For Heroes'. The walk started on 17th May and is due to finish late July.
"Having served 23 years in the Royal Navy, I retired this May. I've fully enjoyed the comradeship of my fellow servicemen and the efforts we've made supporting British interests home and abroad. To help those who've made a greater sacrifice than me doing their every day job, I am walking from JOHN O'GROATS to LANDS END in aid of Help for Heroes. As a personal challenge I'm wearing 17th century pikemans attire, but for practical reasons I've got a half-sized pike (it should be 16ft long)."
All donations will go to Help for Heroes, as Malcolm is funding the walk himself.
