Inspritational Image H4H Rides to Recovery Series
Tidworth

Sunday 15th April 2012

Our bike rides are our signature events and we hope these rides will be just as popular, with thousands of you joining us across the four rides. Join as an individual or in a group, bring your family and friends and maybe even ride in Fancy Dress – together, we will make this a ride to remember!

The R2R Series will take place on four Sundays in 2012, each based at one of the new Personnel Recovery Centres (PRCs) for which the series is raising money. The PRCs provide our wounded Servicemen and women with a supportive, yet familiar military environment, in which to recover once they have left Headley Court.

Tedworth House is the first PRC to be opened and is the centrepiece of Help for Heroes road to recovery project. The money raised on this ride will help fund the £20m renovation and development costs and £2m per annum contribution to operating costs committed by H4H. It is a very special place to start and end our ride and to see where your money is going. For more information on Tedworth House please click here.

The R2R Tidworth will take you through the beautiful and rolling chalk countryside of Wiltshire. We pass through small villages and towns and climb long hills and enjoy some fun gentle descents. On our route you will pass through ancient and modern history; ancient burial mounds, you will cycle alongside the Kennet and Avon canal, through the ancient city of Marlborough and past the White Horse on Pewsey Downs.

CHILDREN: We are delighted to accept younger supporters over 9 years old on the Rides to Recovery. Please note, the ride takes place on the roads and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Help for Heroes cannot accept responsibility for your child on the day. To register participants under 18 years old, please contact H4H and we will be happy to help.
