The Help for Heroes Kilimanjaro Trek

Help for Heroes (H4H) are pleased to be offering this iconic, challenging trek to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest point. Join us for the challenge of a lifetime!

By signing up to this trek you will be climbing one of the most impressive and well-known mountains in the world. Dominating its landscape, standing at 5895meters, as well as being the highest point in Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro is also the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Those up for the challenge will trek to Uhuru Peak via the Machame Route, which is possibly the most scenic yet challenging path to the summit.

On your way to the ‘roof of Africa’ you will walk through a variety of different habitats, from cultivated farmland to equatorial rainforest and alpine heath before reaching the beauty of the glaciers at the summit.

This is a challenging trek but one with no technical climbs, which means that it’s entirely achievable as long as the training hours are put in.
